“The National Academy’s Abbey Mural workshop is a unique opportunity for visual artists not only to speak directly with public arts experts but also to step-by-step create a project that enable them to successfully compete for public arts projects. It both demystifies the process and gives the artist the tools necessary to develop strong visual proposals that relate both to the community and the artist’s own work.” - Les Joynes

Daily presentations by public art administrators, curators and artists opened my eyes to the fabulous world of public art. The presentations focused not only on the wide variety of work and brilliance of artists making public art today but encouraged the fellows to be active participants. ” – Ed Biese
